Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Open Day

The  IACP will be hosting their second annual Open Day at the Mansion House on the 15th October. The event will run from 11am until 4pm and we will have a host of speakers, information stands from different agencies and interactive activities.

One In Four will have an information stall, so please come along and say hello.

National Organisation for the Treatment of Abusers

5th April 2011, Marriott Royal Hotel, Bristol, UK

NOTA organised staff development workshop: A two day training event on attachment-based assessment and intervention with adults who pose a risk of harmful sexual behaviour.

Presented by Clark Baim and Lydia Guthrie, the Co-Lead National Trainers for the Probation Service's community-based sexual offending treatment programme in England and Wales.  They both have extensive backgrounds in the delivery and design of sexual offending treatment programmes.  

One in Four staff will be attending the training event.

Taking Responsibility: The Response of Services to Harmful Sexual Behaviour

25th February 2011, 10am to 4pm, Dublin

Conference organised by the National Organisation for the Treatment of Abusers (NOTA) seeks to highlight innovative service provision in Ireland for children, young people and adults who sexually harm.

It will also review NOTA research on service provision needs in the light of the Ferns, Murphy and Ryan Reports.  One in Four is NOTA member and will be attending.

Includes talk by Deirdre Kenny, our Advocacy Director on 'Appropriate instruction taking form the victim'.  Part of continuing professional development for legal professionals.
