On Thursday we launched our 2019 Annual Report virtually. It was hosted by David Holohan, Chair of the Board of Directors, with speakers Maeve Lewis, CEO of One in Four and Dr. Conor O'Mahony, Special Rapporteur on Child Protection.

Dr Conor O’Mahony is a senior lecturer at the School of Law at University College Cork, where he teaches and researches in the areas of constitutional law and children’s rights. He also directs the Child Law Clinic, which provides research assistance to support litigation and advocacy work on issues affecting children. The Clinic is best known for its work on securing redress for survivors of historical abuse in day schools, including the Louise O’Keeffe case and subsequent related work. Dr O’Mahony was appointed by the Government as Special Rapporteur on Child Protection in 2019 for a three year term. His report for 2020 will make detailed proposals in respect of the legal regulation of investigations of complaints of abuse.

We would like to thank all who joined us for the Annual Report Launch.
