Cosán na Naomh event One in Four’s 2022 Autumn Pilgrim walk is based in County Kerry around Cosán na Naomh: one of Ireland’s most fascinating and beautiful old pilgrimage roads. It presents no major challenge, even for the casual walker. The scenery is spectacular with a constant vista of sea or mountain and often both. Itinerary Day 1 - Friday 7th OctoberThe Dingle Way, from Ventry to Dunquin . Distance 14km along beach with a moderate climb. We also have the option to add Blasket Centre to Clogher Head (+5km loop) Day 1 will focus on the natural history, geology, landscapes of West Kerry. Day 2 - Saturday 8th OctoberCosán na Naomh, to the foot of Mount Brandon. Distance 18km, along the ancient Pilgrim Path of St. Brendan. Day 2 will focus on the pilgrim path and cultural heritage of the early Christian / Medieval period. Day 3 - Sunday 9th OctoberMount Brandon Distance 8km & 800m climb, suitable for anyone of moderate fitness, with stopsalong the way at stations for those who don’t want to climb to top . There are spectacular views throughout. We also have a poor weather option: a coastal walk from Beal Ban beach to Bally-david (Distance 8km, no climb, beautiful views). Day 3 will focus on spectacular scenery and landscapes.
