FAQs

Here are some question's we are often asked. If you need more info please call us at  (01) 6624070 or email info@oneinfour.ie

Do I have to pay?

Our Advocacy support is a free service. An initial consultation for our therapy services costs €50 and there is a fee going forward. A person's financial circumstances will always be taken into consideration and therapy will be offered on a sliding scale. A fee applies to people attending the Phoenix Programme.  This will be discussed at your first meeting.

Is the service confidential?

The services we provide are confidential. Calls are returned by a private number and no voice message is left. We also respond to emails via info or 'name' @oneinfour.ie.  However, we are obliged to notify child protection services about concerns about a child who may be at risk of abuse.

What is your policy on child protection?

Child protection is at the heart of what we do. While our services are confidential, if you give us information that children may be at risk, it is our policy to pass that information to the TUSLA child protection services. We work within the Children First Guidance 2011 and the Children First Act 2015.

What can I expect?
You can expect a welcoming professional and individual service that will move at a pace and in a direction that you are comfortable with.

How soon can I get help?

We know that the decision to reach out for support can be a big one for many people.  However, we do have waiting lists for all our services, and all our services are by appointment only.  Advocacy aims to respond within 24hours depending on demand. For individual psychotherapy, we hope to be able to offer an initial meeting within 3 weeks of contact and the therapist will discuss further the waiting period to begin therapy.

I don’t live in Dublin, can you still help me?

Our psychotherapy services are based in Dublin and you are very welcome to attend these services here. If travel is not an option we recommend the National Counselling Service who provide counselling nationally. Our Advocacy service is more far-reaching as much information can be given by phone and face to face meetings are often infrequent.
