Jillian van Turnhout is a former independent Irish Senator. Jillian currently runs her own consultancy business providing governance, executive selection and advocacy services.

Jillian has a Certificate in Corporate Governance from the INSEAD International Directors Programme and is currently undertaking the Institute of Directors Chartered Director Programme.

In addition to One in Four, her current Board work includes serving as Vice Chair of European Movement Ireland and Chair of Early Childhood Ireland.

She is a former Vice President of the EU Advisory body, the European Economic and Social Committee; former Chief Executive of the Children’s Rights Alliance; former Chief Commissioner of the Irish Girl Guides; and former President of the National Youth Council of Ireland.

Jillian is a co-founder of the European Youth Forum. Jillian has been awarded the Chevalier de l'Ordre National du Mérite by the President of France and an Honorary Fellowship by the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.
